Master Bedroom Project Reveal
We are excited to reveal this Master Bedroom project to our blog readers! If you’ve been following along, you’ve already seen peeks at this project process. Here is our blog about the materials selection process. In this portion of the project, we presented multiple options for the client to choose from.
Then, in this blog, we walked you through the client’s final selections and our design plan. Now you finally get to see it all put together!
The room started as a neutral space with no color. The client designed the room this way herself. But after many years, it didn’t feel right. She realized she was missing color in the space. She still wanted the space to feel restful, but it needed more oomph.
Our design plan included many of her existing pieces; a headboard and bed, a chaise lounge, nightstands and dresser. We updated window treatments and pillows but kept her existing bedding. We updated the lamps and ceiling fixture as well. Our client also had fun ideas to add a little interest to an otherwise mundane closet. We added wallcovering to the ceiling (because you wouldn’t really see it on the walls anyway.) We also added a rug and new light fixtures.
We are so happy with the way this master bedroom turned out! It is both rejuvenating and restful at the same time. It has texture and pattern. Trims on the pillows and window treatments add to the materials story. Pops of color in the pillows, lamps and dresser establish the color palette throughout the space. Sculptural light fixtures add another layer of visual interest. Polished nickel adds shine. I could move right in!
