The Soft Side of our Master Suite Transformation: Peek at Project with LiLu Interiors

The Soft Side of our Master Suite Transformation

A couple months back we shared this, Master Suite Transformation.
This project began to take shape right when quarantine began and since then we have been able to design this space over zoom meetings and digital communication.  We are loving the process and how things are taking shape.  Today we wanted to share the soft side of things for this master bedroom.  With a remodel project, the first focus is on the hard finishes such as the tile, countertops, wall finishes etc.  The soft things such as the bedding, headboard fabrics, pillows, and window treatments are the next layer that add to making a room and space feel complete.
To recap the clients wanted this remodel to feel like a luxury hotel escape.  With a full remodel of their existing bathroom and closet space we were able to add in a separate bathtub, shower, two vanities and a separate toilet room.  We are so excited about the transformation in the bathroom, we wanted to be sure that the bedroom would feel just as luxurious. So, our second phase began: headboard, nightstands, window treatments, bedding and more.
Here is a look at four concepts we presented to our clients for rugs and fabrics:

Once the overall concept was designed with headboard fabric, pillow shams, window treatments and a rug, we moved into bedding.  To get a luxurious feeling without going over budget we like do a mix of custom with semi-custom options.  Since we are doing custom shams we added in a ready-made duvet cover with a coverlet.  This bedroom is going to be stunning and a welcomed retreat!
These images are what our client would be viewing.  This portion of the design work and meetings was done a little differently and without zoom meetings.  We would head over to the house, layout the fabrics for the clients to view and then through email communication we over-communicated our design intent.
During these times, we have learned how to effectively communicate our intention so that client's are able to make decisions.  Learning new skills each day!
