What is KBIS Design Show?

KBIS, short for the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show, is a premier event that brings designers, industry professionals, and innovators together under one roof. Because of all the creative energy in the building, the event becomes a dynamic platform where the latest trends, cutting-edge products, and groundbreaking technologies in the kitchen and bath design sector are showcased.

KBIS is also the official show of The National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), which is in its 60th year! I am a member of NKBA, and I can attest to the organizations commitment to innovation. For more on NBKA, check out their website.

A Great Place to Network

KBIS design show is a great place to catch up with and network with designers from across the country, and to build relationships with brands. Last year, I attended KBIS with the Design Hounds, which is another great organization with a focus on networking. To learn more about Design Hounds, check out their website.

A Great Place to Learn

KBIS is the best place for those who are passionate about staying on the forefront of trends in kitchen and bath. Attending KBIS is a great way to get face time with all the products we might consider when working on a kitchen or bath design and develop a greater understanding of which products will work best for our clients.

The show is not only an opportunity to see the vast array of available products, but to get in depth knowledge on what works and why. At KBIS, there are countless opportunities to attend talks that do deep dives into brands from around the world, giving designers a wide array of knowledge on new technology and the latest trends.

Last year, I documented some of what I learned at the KBIS design show in a series of blogs. Give them a read if you're excitedly anticipating the new products this year will bring.

How Attending KBIS Benefits You (Our Clients)

Being immersed in the latest trends and innovations at KBIS helps me bring back a wealth of knowledge that informs my design work for the rest of the year. KBIS also provides me with the amazing opportunity to learn about the newest technologies and design concepts, so I can implement them into Lilu design project once I return home. Especially in kitchen and bath design, it's important that our clients receive spaces that are not only beautiful, but also at the forefront of functionality.
