According to Lilu – The Home Coffee Bar Trend

In the pursuit of turning our homes into havens of comfort, the home coffee bar trend has recently emerged as a fun trend, brining the charm of a personalized cafe experience into our everyday lives. Home coffee bars are becoming a popular amenity that clients are asking us to design into their homes, so this weeks blog will dive into the trend, why we love it, and how you can incorporate it into your home.

Home Coffee Bar Trend In the Kitchen

The kitchen is where the home coffee bar trend often takes center stage. Our clients love the ability to craft their favorite coffee easily, transforming routine mornings into moments of delight. The inclusion of dedicated coffee stations within the kitchen creates an elevated experience, complete with carefully selected coffee makers and aesthetically pleasing displays.

Primary Bedroom Retreat

Imagine waking up to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee within the cocoon of your bedroom. The home coffee bar trend extends to the bedroom, allowing individuals to start their day gently. A private coffee nook in the primary bedroom provides a serene escape, where one can savor a cup of craft coffee before joining the hustle and bustle of family life, or unwind with tea in the quiet of the evening before bed.

Guest Room Hospitality Home Coffee Bar Trend

For those who prioritize hospitality, the home coffee bar trend is the perfect addition to the guest bedroom. Designing a space where guests can create their favorite beverages adds a special touch to their stay. It's not just about providing a place to stay; it's about creating an experience that uplifts and makes guests feel truly welcome.

A Daily Vacation

Having a home coffee bar is like having a daily vacation without leaving the comfort of your home. Why wait for your next getaway to enjoy a taste of luxury, when you can incorporate it as part of your daily routine? With this trend, every day becomes an opportunity to indulge in a little bit of pampering and elevate the ordinary.

At Lilu, we love to transform spaces, creating not just homes but sanctuaries where every detail contributes to a life well-lived, which is why we love the home coffee bar trend. Embracing this trend lets you celebrate the simple act of brewing coffee, and invite a little extra luxury and comfort into your home.

Hi Lisa – I love the “daily vacation” concept. While I don’t have space for a dedicated coffee station per se I did recently get a milk frother and I so look forward to my morning coffee! A little touch of luxury!

  4. Robin Burrill says:

    Hi Lisa ~

While staying overnight recently with a friend, she and her hubby had a fully stocked coffee bar in the guest bedroom where I was staying, upstairs, complete with a refrigerator, microwave and sink!

It was such a luxury that I could have my coffee in bed, clean up, and not disturb them.

I think every homeowner that can do this, should treat themselves and their guests to this amenity. Coffee bars should be in kitchens, principal bedrooms and at least one for the occupants of guest bedrooms that doesn’t require the guest to get dressed to go into the kitchen or to wake up others in the household.

I love the examples you’ve shown here of the ones you’ve created for your clients and I hope this trend continues to catch on. It’s truly a touch of luxury that makes a real difference in the return on enJOYment of hiring a designer!
