What an exciting week it is going to be for LiLu Interiors!  We are always hustling and bustling around here and this week we have a Main Level install for one of our clients.  We can't wait to be able to show you the end result!  There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes to make any installation a success and not to mention the process that needs to happen during the design phase to make it to the installation date.
I thought I would give you a behind the scenes look at what LiLu does once we are ready to implement the design.  We have talked many times about the concept and that is the first place we begin with any project.  A well defined and thought out concept not only makes for a more successful project but it also helps along the way to continually ask ourselves "Does this relate back to the concept?"
During the last few weeks to prepare for the installation many people need to be set in place.  From plumbers to electricians, to painters and carpet installers each one is an important part in making the project complete.  We also have everyone at our workrooms either making pillows, reupholstering, or crafting the window treatments.  Each person is scheduled at a certain time to make sure the next line of business can be complete and they are vital to the success.
This week, we have plumbers scheduled on Monday to take out the existing plumbing in the powder bathroom, the wall covering installer to fix the walls and then apply the wallcovering.  Then once that is complete we have the vanity installation, then the countertop is to be installed and finally the plumber is set to come and install the new toilet, sink and faucet.  Each person has a critical job and critical timing.
Here at LiLu, we take pride in not only being Interior Designers but also in our Project Management Skills.  When you work with us this is a part of the service that we offer.  We set up each person, answer all of the questions and then we are there at each installation to ensure the end results are just as we intended.
The design process is just one of the pieces of the puzzle that we do but the implementation is one of the most important!
