Summer brings garage sales and the opportunity to find something new for yourself among someone else's old stuff. Green before we called it being green. Garage sales have a long tradition of extending the life of all kinds of things. A perfect way to reuse, reupholster, or repurpose.

And if you are not crazy about digging through other peoples stuff but buy into the concept of what's old is new again there are some great places who do it for you. There are lots of resources who salvage architectural stuff and collect it for sale and many of them keep an online photo gallery. If you know what you need you may get lucky and if you don't know what you want, you may get luckier!  This week I'll look at a few of our favorites
