Net Zero Energy Home Ground Breaking Ceremony- Monday’s Peek at a Project

By Christina Rymer, Allied Member ASID
This Net Zero Energy Home today's Peek at a Project is a special one for LiLu Interiors.  It is a net-zero energy home going for Green Start certification here in Minnesota.  It has been a wonderful collaboration with the clients and architect, Marc Sloot of SALA Architects.  The clients hosted a ground breaking ceremony for friends, family and neighbors to come and celebrate the start of their custom-designed home.  We were thrilled to be a part of the celebration.  Below are some photos of the night.  It was a great turnout!

A few weeks ago, I had a 'Peek' at their Kitchen Design and today I want to let you 'Peek' a little more into the kitchen and dining room to the soft items that will make up the rest of the space.  A back painted, glass dining table with architectural chairs and counter stools finished off with pattern, color and texture.  The whole space is coming together.  Since this project is not only a net-zero energy home but is also going for Green Star Certification the furniture and fabrics are a part of the story.  We selected items from sustainable furniture lines that are made responsibly and with either all or some recycled content.  Check back on Wednesday to learn a little more about some of the vendors we used.
