Update for a Blah Kitchen

Our latest peek at a project is an update for a a blah kitchen. Our client moved into a new home and didn't love the kitchen. She isn't a cook, so there weren't any functional problems. She just wanted the space to be more welcoming and reflect her personality. And she didn't want to allocate much of her budget to the kitchen. The goal was to change the feeling of the space while making as few changes as possible.
We came up with a design plan that the client loved! A heavy bank of upper cabinets on the feature wall of the kitchen will be removed and replaced by visually lighter, floating shelves. The wall will be covered with a large scale floral wallpaper for a fun punch of color and pattern in the kitchen. The cabinets will get a coat of creamy paint. And that's it! It's simple, but the kitchen will be totally transformed with these small updates.
Stay tuned for install pictures later in the year!
