One-of-a-Kind Design for Twin Brothers: Peek at a Project Part Two
PEEK AT A PROJECT
If you read our blog last week, you know we've been working on a special design project; designing unique bedrooms for twin brothers, age 9. We've had a blast designing spaces that are so different from each other.
The bedroom on today's blog is for our young client who wanted his room to be inspired by his love of nature and Jackson Pollack. (Yep, he's 9 and he knows who Jackson Pollack is!) He wanted it to feel like a peaceful space. He also likes spaces and furniture with a Mid-Century vibe.
The space plan was a challenge as the room is small and the placement of the closet limited our options. We settled on a space plan that maximizes space with a built in bookcase, window seat, desk and bed!
The color palette features greens and blues, reminiscent of nature. The lighting and window treatment fabric by Sylvie & Mira feature Mid-Century inspired shapes. and some of his favorite fabrics. And we will be covering the ceiling in a green paint splatter, Jackson Pollack-esque wallpaper by Peter Fasano. We think its a pretty fun mix! Check out the design here:
