Simple Kitchen Refresh: Peek at a Project
Sometimes the best thing to do with a design is to keep it simple! Our client moved into a home with lots of light and dark contrast in the finishes. Lots of black light fixtures, hardware, counter tops, and tile. She wanted to lighten the whole house up without redoing everything. In her kitchen, we replaced the dark stone mosaic accent tile behind the range hood. It was creating an awkward focal point in her kitchen that she didn't even like! We looked at several, lighter accent tiles. But in the end, we all agreed to keep it simple. We took the plain white field tile and used it in a herringbone pattern behind the range. SIMPLE, SIMPLE SIMPLE! Now it's not a focal point so that other elements can shine, like the window treatments and light fixtures we're NOT showing you.... You: "Awh, c'mon LiLu!" Sorry, gotta wait until another day and another Peek at a Project. (It's a PEEK, not a whole reveal!)
