Peek at a Project-Sister Rooms

As part of an ongoing, whole home project, we designed bedrooms for two young (4&5) ladies that will grow with them. Little sister wanted everything big sister loved. While we support that kind of sibling admiration we also wanted to create some indivual personlity. By using some key patterns both had to have in combination with a signature color for each girl, we accomplished this balance.
Key tips for creating the look:
1) An upholstered headboard in the same color as the walls creates the illusion of space and is cozy for reading in bed.
2) Use a playful floral fabric at the windows. Youthful combined with a patterned duvet now and more sophisticated with simple bedding later.
3) Stencil the front of a painted nightstand for a custom look.
4) Bold colors
