Peek at a Project: Drapery Hardware Redux

By Emily Anderson, Allied Member ASID
Little changes can make a big difference. Check out this recent LiLu project in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. This home's lower level needed an update to complement a renovation that was completed on the main level of the house. We painted all of the existing millwork and paneling Benjamin Moore's Ancient Oak to give the space a fresh, classic feel. In addition, I updated the drapery hardware from wood poles to sleek continuous brass hardware with French returns.  The previous wood poles felt bulky and left awkward spaces between the panels. The new hardware wraps around the varying angles of the window wall and the completed look is seamless. Now the focal point is the client's beautiful drapery panels and the architecture of the windows and doors.
