New Construction Lake Home

Our first concept meeting is one of my favorite times in the design process.  It is the first meeting where we are able to present to our clients different finishes and show them what is possible for their home.  We present tiles, flooring, cabinetry options, paint colors, plumbing fixture finishes and the list goes on.  As we put the finishes into concepts we like to name each one as well.
This new construction lake home is located on a lake and a beautiful lot with a barn  The names we gave to the concepts not only fit in with the owners would like their home to be but also incorporate it in different ways.  This home wanted to be:

• Cozy
• Light and Bright
• Comfortable
• Timeless
• Mission Style

The three new construction lake home concepts we defined are:

• Lake Views: Shades of Blue
• Earthy Vibes: Textures and Naturals
• Colonial Spirit: Bolder Touches with Earth Tones

At this meeting, we walk through each concept and the client points out and talks about things that they like and would like to be in their home.  It could be they like the color but want to see it in a different color.  They could also like the texture or overall feel of something but want to see it used differently.  This meeting begins the process for their overall home and propels us forward.
