Nassau Book Treasures
By LuAnne Silvia, ASID
I spent a week in the Bahamas with family one year in February. A rainbow of colors painted the city; the local’s clothing, city markets, flowers, buildings. The color combinations felt so free, fun, unexpected. I found a small book with an equally colorful cover, full of watercolor illustrations that captured the free spirit of Nassau. It is full of history, notable buildings, beaches and recipes. The illustrations are simple and take me back whenever I wish to go, and the recipes alone make the book worth owning.
