More Water Please

By LuAnne Silvia, ASID
As the snow was falling outside this past weekend I received a text message from a friend who boarded a river cruise in New Orleans and was currently enjoying the water and warm weather. It sounded so relaxing and got me thinking about water and it's tranquil and inspiring properites. Emily Anderson wrote a blog entry entitled "Just Water Please" earlier this summer about her trip to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. (If you are in need of gazing at breathtaking water photos check it out)
After shoveling I thought about a fun experience I had this summer on a boat cruise, the blue waters of Lake Minnetonka, and all the new plumbing products we have seen recently. This may be a stretch but I needed an intro to dive into featuring new plumbing fixtures this week, and it is how my mind wanders...
This summer I attended Elkay's client appreciation event and new product launch with fellow LiLu designers Christina Winter and Ally Evander (see fun photo below). The event was held on the largest boat of Al and Alma's charter cruises on Lake Minnetonka, and was full of new and exciting plumbing fixtures. As we cruised around the lake we toured the boat and saw the newest plumbing products installed for us to see, touch and feel.
Fun refreshing drinks poured out of the new faucets on display. We got to try out the water fountain specifically designed to fill personal water bottles, and go home with a new stainless water bottle. Below are some of the products we saw that day.
