Modern Technology and the Retro 40’s

The next yin and yang pair is the Retro 40’s and Modern Technology.
You might think of the Retro 40’s as the “Leave It to Beaver” style. Features of this style include coordinating textiles, patterns like fruit or animal motifs, bold geometrics and overall a very tailored look and lots of white.
The “Modern Technology” style is about pairing things down and making things better through innovation and improvement. Features of this style include electric hues, color wheel opposites, color blocking, and pure geometry.
Both of these styles are about improving life; one through a style that represents sentimentality and optimism, the other through pairing down and improving functionality. Which seems more appealing to you? Which picture do you like best?
