Military and Romantic Style

Military style is characterized by pure, traditional colors, clean neutrals, metallic accents, symmetry and refinement. Romantic style is characterized by softness, comfort, refinement, and skin tone neutrals.
These two styles are a yin and yang pair because they represent a search for comfort versus a need for control. These two things oppose yet balance one another. In times of little confidence, people tend to seek the familiar or formality.
