Love in the City – Great Dates in the Twin Cities

Yes, you have logged onto our interior design website and yes, I am talking about fun dates around around the metro. You may be asking, "what's the correlation?" We at LiLu believe great design comes from great inspiration. And what inspires more than a day exploring nature with those we love?
The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum has some sweet sounding dates for Valentines. Enjoy these fun activities with your sweetie or the entire family. Let the picturesque Arboretum be your perfect backdrop.
I have lived in Minnesota my entire life and have never been snowshoeing. Maybe this is my chance....I took this schedule from the Arboretum's website.

Valentine's Mid-day Trek with Your Sweetie
11 a.m.-2 p.m. Oswald Visitor Center
Try out snowshoes & Nordic walking poles on guided tours, courtesy of Hoigaard's. Limited quantity. Free with admission.

Weekend Family Fun: Trees in their Winter Wear
Noon-4 p.m., Marion Andrus Learning Center
Learn to tell trees apart, even without their leaves. Free with admission.

Valentine's Day Gourmet Dinner
6:30 p.m. appetizers in Great Hall, 7 p.m. dinner in Restaurant.  $60/$65
Treat your sweetheart to a romantic feast of appetizers, seared scallop and  shrimp chowder, beef tenderloin with roasted shallot glaze, wild mushroom bread pudding, passion fruit creme brulee, molten chocolate cake and more. Wine pairings.
