Love in the City – Great Dates in the Twin Cities

By Emily Anderson
This week I'm sharing some fun dates to inspire you and your sweetie. It's been a long winter already and maybe it's time to try something new. Stepping out of your comfort zone may teach you something about yourself and your valentine.
Northern Clay Center is a gem in our city and if you have never taken a class here, it is time. The ladies of LiLu took a handbuilding class at NCC last year and it was amazing. Northern Clay Center has several fun dates with a Valentines theme.

The Birds and the Bees
Saturday, February 12, 2011. Register online.
Here is the course description from NCC's website. Doesn't this sound fun?
"For ages 6 - 600.  Love is in the air!  Sign up for one or both classes and learn basic handbuilding skills to create projects you are sure to love.  In the morning session, create bird-inspired art as you make birdbaths, feeders, or sculptures.  In the afternoon session, learn how to make a honey pot to store the sweetness of the bee hive all year long."
Clay for Couples
Keep this one on your list for next year. I just checked and it is already sold out!
A throwing class that shows couples how to create pottery on the wheel. Ghost, anyone?
