It is such a pleasure walking into International Market Square everyday. Our studio is surrounded by beautiful showrooms full of unique home furnishings. There are several new showrooms that have opened recently in IMS. It is exciting to have new resources and more product represented here in Minneapolis. Tune in this week for more info.
IMS also plays host to many special events for design professional and the public. There is always something new and exciting going on. Earlier in the year attended a presentation by the Keno Brothers, had an opportunity to meet them and hear firsthand about their new furniture line and see the furniture in person. Duxbury showroom within IMS is now home to their collection.
Attention all film and design buffs! Mark your calendars for a fun night out this fall. On Thursday evening September 29th IMS is hosting a fun event for the public. International Market Square is hosting a Film Showcase featuring six short films inspired by design. Local director Mark Har is producing one of the films for the showcase.  He has enjoyed working with Hollywood's greats such as David Lynch, Sam Raimi and Michael Mann. And while he thinks working on features is awesome, he also finds them stressful.  He seeks projects that  have a darker side, "the weirder the better” and loves the challenge of working with a small budget and the scouting Twin Cities locations. His film for the IMS Showcase is entilted On The Inside, a love story with a twist. With influences like Stanley Kubrick, the Coen Brothers and Alfred Hitchcock his movie will be sure to inspire.
