Inspired by Menswear

By Christina Winter, Allied Member ASID
Hopefully by now you have seen our posts and received a Save the Date for our 3rd Annual Fashion + Interiors that is going to be held on Wednesday, May 8th from 5-7 at International Market Square.  We have some great things in store for you!  5 inspiring looks, a runway show, live models, great food and drinks and of course great company.  At LiLu, we love to hear stories and learn about the inspiration behind products and where the ideas came from.  Menswear has made its way into the textile world of Interior Design in a big way. Check out these new fabrics for Spring 2013 inspired from Ties, Men's suiting and shirts.
We had the pleasure of meeting Mary Jo Miller from HBF Textiles and loved to hear about the inspiration for the new fabric called Velvet Tie.  She was browsing around a store and saw a Men's Tie and immediately she couldn't wait to turn it into an upholstery fabric. We just love the look and because of the unique construction of the fabric it is only available in one colorway.  Talk about one of a kind!

Inspired by menswear is the Pollack Collection Ace.  This plaid is so luxurious and beautiful that we had a hard time taking our hands off of it!  The Lambswool plaid available in Fleece, Camel, Grey Flannel and of course Menswear.
