Fusion Fun
By LuAnne Silvia, ASID
I am so grateful to be part of the Twin Cities design community - the creativity, generosity and celebratory spirit give me renewed energy. The Northland International Interior Design Association (IIDA) held their annual celebration of fashion and design Friday night at Aria, Fusion. Another different kind of runway show featuring fashions created by designers made out of building and design materials. An event after LiLu's own heart! LiLu has celebrated the correlation between fashion and interiors with our own different kind of runway events Fashion + Interiors and were recently featured in Mpls St Paul magazine article. It was a fantastic night of fun and charity event benefiting People Serving People with guests attending in black accented by the Pantone Color of the Year, Tangerine Tango. LiLu's current intern Jill Benkofske and her classmates at Dunwoody Technical College participated and won "Best Use of Zero Landfill" for their entry. Stay tuned this week to learn more about their creative process and see their winning design.
