Drawing from the Past- Local Inspiration

When looking for inspiration from the past there are many local places to visit to see textiles, sculpture, and other artifacts that you can use to as a launching point for how you would like your home to be.

Visit the Minneapolis Institute of Arts to see decorative objects, textiles, architecture and art from a wide variety of cultures and eras. Online resources at www.artsmia.org.

The Weisman Art Museum at the University of Minnesota has a collection of Korean furniture and Mimbres Pottery that I find inspriational.

Another great local resource is the Goldstein Museum of Design also at The University of Minnesota.
