Designing a Small Footprint Space

Designing a small footprint space doesn't mean you need to give up on big goals for the space.  Do you like to entertain and throw various gatherings but believe that since you are down sizing into a smaller living space those days are over?  Here are LiLu, we love challenges, and we love to space plans smart areas to acquire all your needs.    Today's peek at a project is a condo living space where we did just that.  Designed for an empty nester couple who likes to frequent on the weekends with their dogs with some times just being the two of them while other times may be a whole gatherings of a girls weekend or friends over to watch the big game.
The floor plan is flexible.  The guest bedroom is designed to be not only a place for guests to sleep but a work space and a TV den.  A sleeper sofa with a pair of ottomans serves as a great lounge piece to kick up your feet.  The television is mounted above a desk that serves as both a workstation as well as media center.  The desk chair is the same styles as the dining chairs with a fabric that works in both the bedroom and the dining area.  The pair of ottomans work great as extra seating in the living allowing guests to perch during a conversation or to watch the big game.
Below is the floor plan showing both ways set up.  We love smart design and smart space plans.  Designing a Small Footprint Space- Floor Plan
