I would like to offer some support by suggesting one way to create success around a resolution is to be as intentional as possible about it. LiLu Interiors specializes in helping our clients "bring intention home".  Avoid failed resolutions by designing the obstacles that stand in your way, out of your life.
These are our top resolutions and some tips on creating the space you need to support change in your life.

Spend more time with family and friends.

Whether it appear at the top or bottom of the list. This is always in the top tier of resolutions. As an expert in home design, I know how many people want to redesign their home to create connection with the people they love. If you want to create cozier more welcoming spaces for your friends and family there are many considerations, the amount of seating, the light and color scheme.
Most importantly, think both about the everyday way your space can help build connection with your family. Consider if your home is a comfortable place where friends and family immediately feel welcomed and at ease. As a result of feeling uncomfortable with their space,  many people don't host game night or have the book club. You can create connections and follow these easy tips! And achieve success with your New Year's Resolutions! How great would that feel.

Fit fitness into my routine.

This resolution is on many lists and can be stated in many different ways. Get fit. Exercise more. Build strength. It does not matter how it is stated, the intention here is to exercise. Because the  roadblock people often run into is finding the time to get to the gym, we suggest exercising at home. Create literal space for your exercise routine at home and create space for success. As a result of  removing the obstacle to success you’re more likely to achieve your goals.
When March rolls around and others are lining up excuses, you'll be walking down the hall and exercising! How great will it be to achieve success with a New Year's resolution around exercise?

Eat healthy/Lose weight.

Eating healthy can seem impossible with today’s lifestyle. The best idea I have as a kitchen designer is have a pleasant, well-organized kitchen to work in where cooking together as a couple or family is an easy thing to do. Futhermore, it is important  to have a place to eat in a relaxed sit-down environment. Finally, think about the best meal you’ve ever enjoyed. Often the ambiance of the space is a great influence over slowing down, enjoying your meal and having a conversation. Cooking at home means you control ingredients and portion size which will support success with your New Year's Resolution!
This can also support your intention to create greater connection with family and friends. (See resolution #1).
