Design Journey

There is a great variety in the work we do as interior designers. The journey from taking an initial idea to the final result involves many steps and a variety of tasks. In designing this master bathroom remodel we started with the function and layout of the space, first sketching a new plan for the client's review and then drawing to scale with dimensions for construction. We looked at several different tile options for the shower, once we knew we wanted an accent to create a focal point in the room. We drew the tile layout illustrating when the patterned accent tile would be and how the different size tiles and grout lines would align. Recently we were at our clients home to see the progress and tile installation. Here are some photos illustrating the design journey for one part of this bathroom remodel.
