Custom Process: The Construction

How the process of a custom piece is developed...after the idea and the design, comes the construction. We work closely with the craftsman, workroom, fabricator, installer, upholsterer, artisan etc. to ensure the design is executed as intended. In this case we worked with a local cabinet shop who built and finished the piece and a wall cover hanger who installed the paper on the door panels. Along the way we ask for finish samples for approval prior to having the cabinet shop apply the stain to the piece. Because of the handmade nature of this unique paper we worked closely with the paper hanger to lay out the pattern repeat.
