Collaboration with Craftspeople
This drawing was the start of a unique island hood. After sharing the drawing with the cabinet maker and metal fabricator, final design decisions were made and dimension and detail drawings were prepared.
The cabinet maker built a template of the hood which we approved at the shop before he built and installed this hood on site. Then the metal fabricator took field measurements and made templates to create the metal insets for the hood, grill surround and cabinet panels.
We visited the metal shop to approve the patina on the copper.
The metal craftsman creates different patinas and textures to choose from.
Close up of the metal installed on site.
The metal stands out in this larger shot of the room.
