Collaborating Here and There: Trade Professionals

At LiLu Interiors a large portion of how we work is time spent collaborating with each other, our clients, other design team members like architects, and trade professionals like electricians and custom workrooms who we rely on to fabricate our designs. Here is an example of how that process unfolded on a recent commerical project for the design of a custom built-in sofa. The architect provided an inital drawing of a built in sofa. We further refined the drawing with design details. The cabinet maker provided a shop drawing for us to approve. The upholsterer measured for cushions on site after it was installed to get all the details just right. And finally cushions were made and installed. See the progression below.
