Charming Lake Home: LiLu’s Peek at a Project

Charming Details

This Charming Lake Home in the Suburbs of Minneapolis and St. Paul is today's Peek at a Project.  Today begins a series of four peeks into this new construction home located in White Bear Lake. We collaborated with Architecture Firm, SALA Architects to bring intention home for this couple.  Our client grew up on this lot and construction began with the tearing down of his childhood home to make room for this new home where much inspiration was drawn from Susan Susanka's book, The Not so Big House.  This was our client's long time dream to come home and live out their life here.
Upon Entry Charming Lake Home

Parquet Inlay Floor

Upon entry to this Charming Lake Home you are greeted with a mix of  Cherry, Walnut and White Oak perfectly laid in a Camelot pattern.  You know instantly you have stepped into something different.  Details continue to follow you as your eye moves through the arched doorways to the large picture window that sets your eye up for the perfect view of the lake.  Take a deep breath...you are home.
Half Bath Charmin Lake Home

Knockout Tile

This half bath is located just off the entry.  As guests arrive they can step into small but beautiful space.  They are greeted with a stone, waterjet mosaic tile from New Ravenna that repeats elements of the Camelot parquet floor.  Subtle touches of creams and a soft green embrace you and introduce you the the color palette found throughout the home.

Stay tuned for our next peek a project with the Master and Guest Bathrooms.  It's a treat for sure. For other lake homes we have designed click here  or here
