Charming, Traditional Bathroom Remodel

Last week we gave you a peek at this clients kitchen remodel where charming, fresh, classic, bright were all the words they used to describe what they wanted their overall home to feel like.  See the sneak peek here.  This week we give you their charming, traditional master bathroom.  Their current bathroom is a mix of off white finishes with no warmth, movement or really any characteristic to them.  Their is no life to the bathroom and feels stark and frigid. Two words I do not want to hear when someone describes a bathroom especially a bathroom where one spends time each day.

Details in the finishes and fixtures

The finishes were selected to bring about movement and warmth to this space.  A large format porcelain tile was selected for the floor and the surround in the nook that will now house the tub.  The tile is a porcelain but has a look of Calcutta marble.  You get the look without the maintenance.  The shower floor is a sweet little penny round with off white a subtle hint of creamy yellow. Just the right amount of charm to pair with simple, white wall tile.
The plumbing fixtures were selected to continue to nod to traditional but add character.  All in a polished chrome finish, each one has enough detail to be special but not overbear.

Cozy Nook

For a couple who loves baths, we designed  an alcove for this tub that will be the perfect little nook with the right amount of traditional charm.  You don't need much to add the details that matter.
