2018 Sherwin Williams’ Color of the Year

2018's Color of the Year by Sherwin Williams is Oceanside SW6496 and here at LiLu Interiors we couldn't be more excited.  We love using color in our interior design projects and blue is such a magical color.  Several different emotions can be evoked by shades of blue, which makes it such an universal color.

Touches of Oceanside

Below is a home we did a few years back where a various shades of blue were used throughout multiples spaces. A hue similar to Sherwin Williams' Oceanside was used in their porch on the walls. In the dining room, a large blue rug grounded the space while your eye jumped to the blue chairs in the sun room.
Another fun way to add the Color of the Year in your home would be through accessories, lighting and pillows.  Place the lamp below from Currey and Company to add just the right amount of pop  in your living space. A fun way to display a small amount of the Color of the Year is to make  pillows out of Toggle in Teal from Sylvie and Mira.  Add one or two to your family room or sun porch and see the space liven up!
