What's trending? What is the hottest new trend? What are the current trends? No matter how you phrase it, everyone wants to know what are the latest and greatest trends. It is one of the most common questions asked of interior designers. And while we love keeping our eye on what's trending, there is one trend we believe remains true and stands the test of time, the Anti-Trend Trend: Authentic You.
Authentic You trend begins by discovering your own unique style and then celebrating your lifestyle. This means what you wear, what you drive (or don't drive!), what you eat, what you read, what you do, how you live. Authentic to you and your values. The Authentic You trend focuses on what is important to you. What you value is your style and a reflection of you. Which translates into the style of home you live in, the clothes you wear and how you live. LiLu Interiors loves helping people get in touch with their authentic self and designing homes that are on trend.
LiLu Interiors held an annual event showcasing the Anti-Trend Trend for 4 years from 2011-2014, Fashion + Interiors.  Identifying unique characteristics centered around intentional living. We identified five Authentic You trends complete with their own unique story describing details of their lifestyle: Acquired Luxe, Metro Mod, New Traditionalist, Boho Chic, and Timelessly Tailored. The event specifically paired local fashion with interior spaces designed by LiLu Interiors.  Professional models dressed as the corresponding Authentic You trend and room vignettes that they would live in.
