We’ve always recovered and refinished clients existing furniture or incorporated antiques and vintage pieces into design. I currently am finding that it is inspiring that designers and artists around the country and the world are taking existing furniture pieces and reinterpreting them in fresh ways.

Here are some inspiring examples….

Fredrick Farg is taking traditional chairs and adding bespoke upholstery with a modern viewpoint. (Sweden)

Purpose Restoration is taking case pieces, tables and chairs others might dismiss as tired and refinishing, refurbishing and giving them new uses and new attitudes. (Los Angeles)

Look around your home or reused or vintage shops, you may find some inspiration! Maybe a piece of furniture facing the sunset of it’s life could find a new sunrise with your help.
