When hiring an interior designer, you likely are taking action on a project you’ve been dreaming about for some time. We don’t steal this ownership from you by dictating design. Instead we provide you with an enjoyable boutique experience by engaging you from start to finish. Because if you can’t enjoy interior design, all hope in this world is lost (well maybe just in our world, but still).

So how is this state of euphoria attained? It’s not by chance. We have a proven design process in place.

Here’s what you can expect when partnering with LiLu Interiors on your next project:

1. Interview – Meet with you, preferably in your home, to learn your goals, dreams, and even your concerns.

2. Letter of agreement – Written confirmation of the project scope and fees.

3. Design development – Meet with you throughout the entire process in order to explore the following:

• Design programming – Gather more detailed information required to fufill your needs.
• Concept development – Explore ideas and develop sketches to identify a design solution that addresses scale, massing, line, texture, color, shape, and more.
• Spatial relationships – Study traffic, flow, support of functional needs, furniture layout and interrelationships of vertical and horizontal planes.
• Selection – Choose or design finishes, materials, furnishings and fabrics.

4. Design documentation – Written and drawn documentation of the design solution; finish and fixture specifications for your contractor; technical drawings for remodeling, lighting plans, custom cabinets and custom furniture.

5. Execution and supervision – Visit construction sites to guide and assist your contractors; place furniture orders; oversee fabrication of custom items; arrange and supervise delivery and installation.
